Dear Paws&Co Family,
As the new year begins, I find myself reflecting on the profound impact that my beloved dog, Kona, had on my life. After losing her in November after 13 wonderful years, I’ve come to understand what it truly means to be a better business owner—and a better dog owner.
Embracing the Everyday
When Kona joined our family as a puppy, life was a whirlwind. With young kids to care for and a busy schedule, having a dog felt like just one more responsibility to juggle. The daily routine included feeding, walking, play-time and the inevitable pet chores. I admit, there were days when I felt overwhelmed, viewing Kona’s needs as just another task on my never-ending to-do list.
However, in her absence, I’ve become acutely aware of the companionship she provided. The house feels empty without her joyful presence, and I’ve realized how much I took those simple moments for granted. Every wag of her tail, every cuddle on the couch, and every walk in the park were not just routines—they were precious connections that enriched our lives.
A Renewed Perspective
This journey of loss has opened my eyes to the true essence of pet ownership. It’s not just about fulfilling obligations; it’s about nurturing a bond that brings joy and comfort. Losing Kona has made me more sensitive to the daily routines of dog ownership and the vital role that pets play in our lives.
I understand more deeply the importance of providing dogs with healthy, nutritious treats and chews that contribute to their well-being. Losing her has driven me to ensure that Paws&Co not only offers the best products, but also promotes the love and companionship that dogs bring into our homes.
Creating a Legacy
In honor of Kona, I’m committed to ensuring that every product we create resonates with the love and care that pets deserve. I want to inspire other dog owners to cherish their furry friends and recognize the joy they bring. We will be launching KONA'S Kennel, a newsletter featuring fun facts and helpful tips for dog lovers. Our mission at Paws&Co goes beyond selling treats; it’s about fostering a community that understands the deep bond between humans and their dogs.
